Secondment, or expatriate training not only prepares you for how to work successfully on site, resolve conflicts and conduct business transactions. Get your family members on board!
If the expatriate has a family or partner, the training is not only valuable for the employee, but also for their partner, spouse and children over 8 years of age. They are often the most important factor in determining the success of a secondment. If the family members are not happy, a posting aborad is often abandoned early on.
For almost 20 years, I have conducted more than 300 expatriate trainings with a focus on China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Germany and East Asia and have in-depth experience.
